MyRehab’s Single Point of Contact Rule for Family Communication

Date: 12 March 2024

a

At MyRehab Dual Diagnosis Addiction Centres, the Single Point of Contact Rule is central to our communication protocol, ensuring that the next of kin remains informed about the patient’s well-being without compromising privacy.

Why a Single Contact Matters ?

– Protects Confidentiality:

We share sensitive treatment details only with the chosen contact, preserving patient privacy.

– Clear, Focused Updates: One point of contact keeps information consistent and clear, avoiding misunderstandings in communication.

– Supports Family Involvement: The rule empowers the next of kin to play an active role in supporting the patient’s recovery.

Implementing the Rule at MyRehab On admission, patients nominate their primary contact. This person becomes our go-to for all necessary updates, forming a crucial link between MyRehab and the patient’s support network.

A Unified Approach to Care This approach is part of MyRehab’s commitment to holistic and structured recovery programs. We value open, yet protected, communication as a part of comprehensive care.
