SALOME DEMETRIOU
Clinical Psychologist
Salome, also known as Sally, obtained her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Johannesburg. Salome has experience within psychiatric settings, and holds a passion for maintaining the human integrity of those who suffer from mild to more severe psychopathology. Salome practices from an integrated approach, with a primary focus on ensuring that her clients feel safe, in a non judgmental manner.
She holds a strong belief in understanding the underlying beliefs, emotions, and experiences that inform human behavior. Various therapies she is trained in include: Person Centered therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Narrative therapy, Family Systems therapy, and Psychodynamic therapy. While fulfilling her role as a therapist she has also had a keen interest in research, with a predominant focus on trauma, somatic symptoms and quality of life.

PAKEEZA CARRIM
Counselling Psychologist
Pakeeza is a Counseling Psychologist. Her approach is eclectic and holistic. She deals with all the dimensions of human existence, psychological and emotional functioning, human/social relationships, religious/ spiritual problems, occupational, physical health and ethical issues. She makes use of cognitive behavior therapy, DBT, family therapy, imago, narrative therapy, play and art therapy, visualization and relaxation. Her experience and training at Hospitals, Schools, Clinics, Rehabs and in the community has offered her the opportunity of working with a diverse client base, ranging from well functioning individuals with daily difficulties to patients with serious psychopathology.
Pakeeza has also conducted various support groups, art groups, workshops for adolescents, teachers, doctors and parents.

AHMED MAYET
Clinical Psychologist
Ahmed completed his Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of Witwatersrand and has since worked in both the private and public sector.
His interests lie in individual and group psychotherapy for adults and adolescents, often presenting with a plethora of struggles, chiefly addiction, anxiety, depression and personality pathology. His approach and philosophy is a humanistic-existential one, seeking to help guide patients to a deeper understanding of themselves from all angles while clarifying purpose, spirit and the way forward.

TANJA KALAPAC
Clinical Psychologist
Tanja is a registered Clinical Psychologist. She obtained her Masters degree from the University of Pretoria.
Tanja has been in practice for over 25 years. She works from an integrated approach. Her areas of special interest include: anxiety and depression, addiction and recovery, relationship issues, bereavement and Psychodynamic therapy.

CHRISTOPHER HARPER
Counselling Psychologist
Christopher is a registered counselling psychologist, having completed his training at rhodes university. He has a people-centred approach to his work which has shaped the manner in which he interacts with those people he works with. Through this he encourages their self-expression, self-awareness and self development. This approach assists in developing people’s creativity, their ability to make decisions in their own best interest and increases their confidence, thus improving their ability to live more fully and work more effectively.
Chris works with individuals including adults and teenagers, couples, and families, and facilitates small group work. His work has included a special focus on trauma, anxiety and depression, addiction and recovery, and men’s issues.

DANIELA DIENER
Registered Cousellor
Daniela Diener is a dedicated professional serving as the Case Manager at MyRehab, where she plays a crucial role as the liaison between patients and their families. With a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach, Daniela ensures that every individual’s needs are met throughout their recovery journey.
In addition to her role at MyRehab, Daniela is an HPCSA Registered Counsellor. With a deep understanding of the complexities of addiction and a commitment to empowering individuals, Daniela is passionate about helping patients access the assistance they desire.
Her ability to connect with patients and provide them with the support they need plays a pivotal role in their successful recovery. With her willingness and capability to go the extra mile, Daniela ensures that individuals in need receive the care and guidance necessary to achieve lasting healing and transformation.

Scial Worker
Sameera graduated with an honors degree in social work in 2016. She has worked in the Substance Abuse field for four years now.
Sameera has been exposed to the trauma field and has dealt with numerous social issues. Her passion is help people identify and become the best versions of themselves.

OUR NURSES
The nursing staff plays a critical role in supporting patients throughout their recovery journey. These dedicated professionals are highly trained and skilled in providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals struggling with addiction.
The nursing staff works closely with other members of the addiction treatment team, including physicians, therapists, and counselors, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient. They monitor patients physical and emotional well-being, administer medications and treatments as needed, and provide education and support to help patients manage their symptoms and make healthy Iifestyle choices.
In addition to their clinical responsibilities, the nursing staff also serve as advocates for their patients, helping to ensure that their needs are met and that they receive the highest quality of care possible. They create a safe and supportive environment where patients can begin to heal and regain control of their lives.
Overall, the nursing staff at our facility is an integral part of the treatment team, working tirelessly to support patients in their journey towards recovery and a brighter future.

OUR CATERING STAFF
The catering staff plays a vital role in providing nutritious meals and snacks that support the overall health and wellness of patients. These skilled professionals are responsible for planning and preparing menus that meet the unique dietary needs and preferences of each patient.
The catering staff understands the importance of proper nutrition in supporting recovery and works closely with other members of the addiction treatment team to ensure that patients receive well-balanced meals that provide the necessary nutrients for healing and restoration. They take into consideration any food allergies, intolerances, or cultural dietary requirements when preparing meals and strive to accommodate each patient’s individual preferences.
In addition to their culinary skills, the catering staff also brings a compassionate and supportive presence to the rehab facility. They understand that food is not only nourishment for the body but also provides comfort and a sense of community. They work to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where patients can enjoy their meals and feel supported in their journey toward recovery.
